After breakfast, you will go to visit Shandong Museum which has many historical artifacts that present views of the heritage of Shandong Province and many parts of China. The architecture style of the museum is also very impressive with a modern exterior and a giant hall with a transparent jade roof. You can see a large number of ancient ceramics, bronzes, calligraphy and painting ancient books, oracle bones, Han Dynasty stone reliefs and other cultural relics. Among them, the ed pottery animal shaped pot unearthed from Dawenkou site, oracle bone inscriptions of Shang Dynasty, bamboo slips of Sun Tzu's Art of War, and murals of Han Tombs in Dongping are all treasures of the Museum, which are very rare and only occasionally displayed.
After the museum visit, drive about 30mins to Qianfo Mountain (Thousand Buddha Mountain) where you can enjoy stunning scenery, fresh air, also soak in authentic Buddhist culture. It is a site full of charm with real antiquity, known as the "urban balcony", "natural oxygen bar" and "ecological paradise" of Jinan City. Legend says Chinese ancestral emperor Shun once opened up land and cultivate under the mountain. Currently, Qianfo Mountain is one of the 3 must-see sights in Jinan which is adorned with temples, caves, pavilions, terraces, towers, and Buddha statues. Highlights are numerous fine Buddha sculptures built since the Sui Dynasty, gigantic 20 m tall Maitreya Buddha, Thousand-Buddha Cliff, Xingguochan Buddhist Temple, Ten Thousand Buddha Cave, etc. The mountain is an awesome place to take panoramic views of Jinan.
After lunch, you will be transferred to catch your flight or train to next destination.
