Hong Kong Visa-free Entry & 7-180 Days’ Stay for 170 Countries
Also, Hong Kong SAR enables the qualified citizens from the specific 170 countries and certain certificate owners with any purpose of visiting to entry and visit Hong Kong without visa and stay within its administrative region for up to 7-180 days, according to the list of 170 different countries (British Citizen - 180 days; U.S.A/Canada/Australia/Brunei/French/Germany/Japan Citizen - 90 days; Thailand/Indonesia/Qatar Citizen - 30 days; Bhutan/Philippine/Haiti/Niger Citizen - 14 days).
Macau Visa Exemption for 79 Countries
Qualified citizens from the specific 79 countries for visit of travel and business affairs can enter Macau and stay within the administrative region no more than 14 days, 30 days, 90 days (3 months), 180 days (6 months), and even up to 1 year according their nationality on the 79 countries list.

How Long to Stay in Greater Bay Area?
How many days to stay in the Greater Bay Area? That depends a lot on your vacation length and purpose.
Usually, for most visitors, you can spend 6-8 days to travel to the top core destinations, including Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Macau. You can look at our popular itinerary to get some inspiration about your plan.
Day 1-3: You can land in Hong Kong and experience its Victoria Peak, Peak Tram, Victoria Harbor, Repulse Bay, Stanley Market, Aberdeen Fishing Village, Wong Tai Sin Temple, Nan Lian Garden & Chi Lin Nunnery. Extend to Lantau Island to enjoy Ngong Ping 360 cable car, Po Lin Monastery and Tian Tan Buddha, etc. (Hong Kong Disneyland needs 1 more day)
Day 4-5: Take a Vibrant Express high speed train to Guangzhou and visit its Yuexiu Park, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Museum of the Mausoleum of the Nanyue King, Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, Shamian Island, Huacheng Square, Canton Tower, and taste the authentic Cantonese cuisines and Dim Sum breakfast. After all that, take a high seed train to Shenzhen.
Day 6: Shenzhen usually needs 1 day to discover. Visit its Ping’an Finance Center, Shenzhen Museum, OCT Harbor, Splendid China Folk Village, etc.

What to Prepare to Visit Greater Bay Area?
Clothing: You do not have to bring too many clothes since there are so many shops and malls you can find and want to buy something to wear. However, in autumn spring, you can prepare a light jacket or knit outwear and long pants; in summer, shorts and T-shirts and skirts are better to feel cooler; in winter, light sweater, coat, and long pants are better to keep warm. Down Jacket is rarely used in winter in the Greater Bay Area. Comfortable shoes are always suggested for some walking.
Umbrella: Take your umbrella as it often rains, particularly in summer and early autumn.
Sunblock, Sunglasses & Hat: Prepare all that to protect your eyes and skin since the Greater Bay Area has much sunshine throughout the year.
Power Adaptor: Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau offer the standard voltage of 220v, 50Hz. The sockets in Hong Kong and Macau are of UK-style. However, those in Mainland China are with 2 or 3 feet. You can prepare it to charge your mobile phones, camera, etc. (Some hotels offer some)
