a. Guangzhou to Shenzhen Section

The 107km long section between Guangzhou and Shenzhen has been opened on December 30th, 2015. For the frequent business transaction and traveling needs, there are altogether over 200 pairs of daily High Speed Trains between Guangzhou and Shenzhen, including G-trains and Intercity C-trains. During some days (no exact rule), special D trains equipped with convenient sleepers will also be scheduled. The G trains travel for only around 29 minutes ~ 1 hour 10 minutes to finish the whole journey, while the Intercity C trains need about 1 hour 14 minutes to 1 hour 37 minutes. Among the 4 High Speed Railway Station of Guangzhou operating High Speed Trains from/to Shenzhen, including Guangzhou South Railway Station, Guangzhou East Railway Station, Guangzhou Railway Station and Guangzhou North Railway Station, Guangzhou South Railway Station and Guangzhou East Railway Station handle most of the trains. Shenzhen to Hong Kong Section has been put in to use since September 23rd, 2018. High Speed Trains along this section traveling from/to Shenzhen North Railway Station and Futian Railway Station to/from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station. The whole train ride from Shenzhen to Hong Kong takes about 14-26 minutes, and from Hong Kong to Shenzhen takes about 14-20 minutes.
Moreover, this section is a key part of high speed rail from Shenzhen to lots of major business cities and tourist destinations in mainland China. Futian Railway Station is located on the intersection of Shennan Road and Yitian Road, Futian Distinct, Shenzhen (深圳市福田区福田街道深南大道与益田路交叉口处东南面 福田站). It is accessible by taking Shenzhen Metro Line 1, 2, 3, 4 and 11. Futian Railway Station is an underground railway station just at the very prosperous downtown area and the closest station to the checkpoint to Hong Kong.
