The reopening date has not been released yet. Travelers are not allowed to visit.)

Day 1 Beijing Arrival

Ni Hao, welcome to Beijing, the iconic city as well as the capital of China!

You will be met by your local tour guide at the arrival hall of Beijing Capital Airport, or railway station, then be escorted to check in your hotel in downtown by a private comfortable vehicle. The rest of today is on your own to relax. If you want to explore nearby, feel free to get some practical suggestions from your tour guide.

Arrival Ideas: At present, there are many international and domestic flights to Beijing. Besides, you can take a high speed train to this capital city from Shanghai (5-6 hrs), Xian (5.5 hrs), Guangzhou (8-9.5 hrs), etc.

Modern Face of Beijing
Day 2 Beijing ( B, L )

After breakfast, start to explore the historical face of Beijing with a brief visit to Tiananmen Square which is now the largest city plaza in the world. Tiananmen Gate on the northern square was the site where the Chairman Mao announced the establishment of the People's Republic of China. Stepping into the Tiananmen, you will see one of the world’s 5 most important palaces – Forbidden City, a huge palace complex of more than 9,000 rooms where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties used to live in. Pass through various doorways to admire the magnificent and well preserved buildings decorated with yellow glazed tile roof, white marble base and splendid colorful paintings.

Leave Forbidden City, and drive about 6km to next imperial site – Temple of Heaven. It was originally used to pay homage to Heaven and pray for harvest, now becomes a bustling place for locals to take part in traditional activities, such as Tai Chi, dancing, kite flying, water calligraphy, etc.

Optional activity: Option 1: In the Evening, you can watch a wonderful Kungfu Show in the Red Theater (Hong Ju Chang) which usually starts at 19:30. Option 2: You could enjoy the well-known Beijing Opera at Liyuan Theater to appreciate the classic Chinese art performance, 19:30-21:00.

Day 3 Beijing ( B, L )

Today, your first stop is the charming Beihai Park, then take a lifetime rickshaw tour the ancient alleyways of Hutongs that are still keeping the original layout in the Shichahai area. You’ll stop by a Siheyuan local family and experience what their life is like. Lunch will be arranged at your local family, and you can learn to cook some Chinese dumplings if you like. 

After lunch, you will move on to the majestic Lama Temple. It is the largest and best-preserved lamasery in Beijing. Then, walk ahead 10 minutes get to the Confucius Temple - where emperors of the past worshiped Confucius, as well as the Imperial College at Guozijian - an ancient imperial colleague for high-ranking scholars in history.

Day 4 Beijing - Jinshanling Great Wall ( B, L )

After breakfast, your tour guide and drive will take to Jinshanling Great Wall which is about 130km away (2 h 15 mins) from Beijing city. Then start to your hiking on the Jinshanling Great Wall. After entering the check-in office, you will walk about 20 minutes to the western section of Jinshanling Great Wall, near to Gubeikou Great Wall. Your hiking starts at Zhuanduo Tower, walk eastward with the up walls snaking on the hills to the eastern edge. On route, you have chance to see some featured towers, such as General Tower, Large Jinshan Tower, Flower Tower, Corner Tower, etc. You’re hiking takes about 4~5 hours, and stops at East Tower with Five Holes where you will get off the wall, and get back to the tourist center..

Get down from Jinshanling Great Wall and drive to your hotel nearby.

Day 5 Simatai Great Wall - Beijing ( B, L )

Get up early, and drive for about 40 minutes (25 km) to the foot of Simatai Great Wall. Simatai Great Wall is a great section of great walls in Beijing to explore the wild features of Great Wall. It is divided into two sections by Yuanyang Lake. The western section is regular. Hikes are much more fascinated by the eastern section which is more challenging to climb but splendid to see the magnificent walls meandering up and down the mountain ridges that seem to have been sliced on both sides by a huge axe. The Wangjing Tower is the highest summit of the Simatai Great Wall which is 986 meters above sea level. To get to this summit tower, you have to walk over some unrestored paths. 

Leave Simatai Great Wall, then drive back to Beijing.

Day 6 Beijing Departure ( B, L )

After breakfast, you are going to visit the famous imperial site - Summer Palace (driving for 20 km and about 40 mins), the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China. It used to be the private garden for Royal families of Qing Dynasty to decamp during the hot summer days. The palace has assembled almost the best design, skill and classic features of traditional gardening architecture of ancient China.Stroll around ancient pavilions, mansions, temples, bridges and corridors. Feast your eyes on the vast lotus in Kunming Lake and the colored paintings in Long Corridor.

Drive back to the city center. The rest day is free for you until your tour guide escort you to catch your flight (or train) to next destination. Our service ends.
