How to Travel: Beijing-Xian or Xian-Beijing?
Having the largest airport of China to connect many international flights and most cities in China, Beijing is top-selected to begin or end their China trip by most tourists. Therefore, if this tour is your first tour in China, traveling from Beijing to Xian is more suitable and you can easily take the high speed bullet trains or flights to reach Xian and thereafter head to more cities, like Chengdu, Lhasa, Chongqing, Guilin, Guangzhou, etc. However, if you plan this tour is your last trip of China, traveling from Xian to Beijing is better for you to take flights back to your country.

The distance between Beijing and Xian is about 1200 kilometers, and travel in between, you have multiple choices to transfer. There are about 35 daily Beijing Xian flights travelling between Beijing Capital International Airport and Xian Xianyang International Airport. Planes are scheduled leaving from 06:50 to 22:45, and the duration is only about 2 hours. Sometimes, you may have a chance to get discounted economy flight ticket which is even cheaper than the high speed train's;
▶ By Bullet Train
During the peak season, the flight ticket may be way more expensive than the normal days. Every day, there are about 20 G trains running between Xian North Railway Station and Beijing West Railway Station. It is quite fast and comfortable, taking about 4.5-6 hours. The bullet trains are available from about 8am to 11pm.

▶ By Overnight Train
Taking a normal train from Xian to Beijing is the cheapest way to transfer. All these trains have hard sleepers and soft sleepers, and you can get a good rest on the train, and at the same time, you can save one night accommodation fee.
