Jiayang Steam Train Running Through Golden Rape Flower Field

Jiayang National Mine Park is about 70 km, 1.5 hours’ drive from Leshan downtown. This mine park dates back more then 70 years and is now a leisure park for sightseeing. Jiayang Steam Train here is known as the "living fossil" of industrial revolution. Taking the old-fashioned train travelling through the vast field, especially in spring and late summer when the rape flowers and sunflowers in full bloom, is quite relaxing and novel. Heizhugou National Forest Park

Luocheng Ancient Town

Luocheng Ancient Town is about 60km, 1 hour’s drive from Leshan downtown. It was built in the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1368-1644) with a unique architectural layout. The whole town is located on the top of a mountain. Liangting Street, the main street of the ancient town, is commonly known as "Boat Street" because of its boat-like shape with houses lining along the street sides. To this day, this surviving old street still retains the features of old Sichuan lifestyle. The ordinary life scene of several locals gathering in tea house and playing cards is one of its most attractive parts. Here live together seven peoples, namely, Han, Hui, Yi, Manchu, Tibetan, Li and Miao.
Jinkou Gorge

Jinkou Gorge is about 80km, 1.5 hours’ drive from Leshan downtown. As a part of Dadu River Gorge, it starts from Wusi River in the west and stretches eastwards to Jinkou River with 26km long, 2600m deep but only less than 200m wide. Along the gorge, continuous peaks tower magnificently and small gullies come into your sights, forming all kinds of landscapes. With convenient highway, it is a perfect place to take a road trip. In 2019, Jinkou Gorge was approved to be rated as national 4A level scenic spot.
