No.1: Jiuzhaigou Valley

Recommended Length of Visit: 1 day
Jiuzhaigou consists of three valleys-Rize Valley, Shuzheng Valley and Zechawa Valley which form a shape of “Y”. Shuzheng Valley is as long as 14km and has more than 40 lakes, and takes you 2-3 hours to visit. The most popular sightseeing spots are Spark Lake, Tiger Lake, Tibetan villages, Nuorilang Waterfall.
After sightseeing in Shuzheng Vally, go ahead to your next stop - Zechawa Valley which is the longest and highest of the three valleys. You can have a quick snack or a cup of yak butter tea here, then visit the beautiful Long Lake and Five Colored Pond (Wu Cai Chi).
Your last stop is Rize Valley, where you will see the some of the most fascinating colored lakes in Jiuzhai Valley, the tallest waterfalls and some of the parks most impressive forests.

No.2: Huanglonggou Valley(Huanglong National Park)

Huanglonggou is famous for incredible calcified scenery. Along the 7km valleys, you will see plentiful different shaped and colorful calcified ponds, caves, waterfalls, streams, stones, etc, which has earned itself the fame of "Heaven Lake" as well as the "Calcification Museum". There are two ways to sightsee the Huanglonggou Valley - footpath and cableway. You can hike from the valley gate (north) up to the top of the valley (south). At the elevation of 3990m, there are the best highlights of Huanglonggou Valley - Five Color Ponds. There are 693 ponds of different size, different shape, different color which look like beautiful emeralds. As for the downhill, you can hike down by another footpath or take a cableway down to the Travelers Center. The best way is taking cableway up to the top, and then hiking down if you want to travel by a relaxing way.
Usually, Huanglonggou Valley is recommended to be toured with Jiuzhaigou Valley because only a half day is needed to see the highlights all. From November 15th to April 15th of next year, the cableway in Huanglonggou Valley will be temporarily closed due to heavy snowfall.

No.3: Munigou Valley

Recommended Length of Visit: 4-5 hours
Although Munigou Valley has an elevation of 4070m, it presents you prosperous colorful mountain and water view. The magic Mother Nature has created not only amazing natural views but also great ethnic and religious culture. Munigou Valley is divided into two parts: Zhaga Waterfall and Erdao Lakes. It is featured in virgin forests, mountainous lake, hot spring, large calcified waterfalls and ponds. You will totally get lost in the picturesque scenery which is perfectly formed by mountains, water, trees.
How to Plan Your Jiuzhaigou Tour
Travelers usually spend one or two days in Jiuzhaigou Valley, and explore Huanglong Valley in a half day, excluding the arrival and departure days. Most travelers transfer to Jiuzhaigou from Chengdu by flight or driving. Some other cities also have flights to Jiuzhaigou, such as Beijing, Chongqing, etc. After arrival, spend a half day to tour the Huanglong Valley, and another full day to visit Jiuzhaigou. If you want to take a walking or photography tour, we recommend spend one more day.
Besides Jiuzhaigou and some other attractions around it such as Huanglong, Songpan, Mounigou, and Ruoergai, you can also travel Jiuzhaigou with other hot destinations in Sichuan, such as Chengdu, Mount Emei, Leshan Giant Buddha, etc.
