Xiamen presents every visitor not the romantic leisure, but also attractive local culture and history with famous world heritages. There are 46 Fujian Hakka Tulou sites inscribed as World Heritage property. They are mainly scattered in Nanjing and Yongding County which is located in Zhangzhou and Longyan City, west of Xiamen. Conveniently, Xiamen has high speed trains to both two places. If want to explore both earthen buildings in Nanjing and Yongding County, you’d better get off at Nanjing Railway Station first and transfer to Nanjing Tulou and Yongding Tulou by private car. After the Tulou visiting, reach to Longyan City to take the 1-hour high speed train back to Xiamen.
Xiamen to Zhangzhou: With a distance of 42km, there are totally 51 high speed trains running from Xiamen to next Zhangzhou, including 2 G trains and 49 D trains. Tourists can choose trains from 07:23am to 21:30pm, and travel further to Longyan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Fuzhou via different rail routes.
Xiamen to Longyan: Every day, there are 24 D trains and 1 G train from Xiamen to Longyan, passing Zhangzhou Station between 07:28am to 21:30pm. The train travel time is approximately 1 hour or above.

Xiamen is located in the southwest of Fuzhou, the capital and one the largest cities in Fujian. The two destinations are directly connected by the Fuzhou Xiamen High Speed Railway, an important part of Hangzhou-Fuzhou-Shenzhen passenger-dedicated railway and the second HSR in Fujian. The railway takes about 2 hours to travel between Xiamen and Fuzhou along the coast of Fujian Province via Putian and Quanzhou.
Both D trains and G trains can take you to Fuzhou. Every day, there are more than 90 high speed trains running from Xiamen (Xiamen North Railway Station and Xiamen Railway Station) to Fuzhou (Fuzhou Railway Station and Fuzhou South Railway Station) between 06:51am to 21:34pm. Those include more than 60 D trains and over 20 G trains. The earliest train is G3234 (06:51-08:44) with duration of 2 hours and the last is D3340 (21:34-23:11) from Xiamen North to Fuzhou South, taking 1.5 hours. The Xiamen Shenzhen High Speed Railway, which built as the first high speed rail in southeast coast of China, links Xiamen in Fujian Province and Shenzhen in Guangdong Province via Zhangzhou, Shantou and Huizhou. Whether you will continue a coast line tour or transfer to Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Xiamen provides lots of fast high speed trains for your convenience.
Regularly, Xiamen delivers over 50 high speed trains (6 G trains & nearly 45 D trains) to Shenzhen every day. D2315 (07:42-11:23) leaving from Xiamen North to Shenzhen Nothg is the first train. D671 (19:59-23:30) is the last train running from Xiamen to Shenzhen, which arriving quite late. Before booking tickets, you should check the schedules carefully and better take a train during the daytime, because it may be some kind of inconvenient to transfer to your destination in the evening.
*Xiamen to Guangzhou High Speed Train: Since July 1st, 2018, there has opened direct high speed trains from Xiamen to Guangzhou, including 1 daily G train and 1 D train. It has largely cuts down the travel time from 12 hours to only 4 hours, and saves much time on complicated transfer.

Taking a high speed train tour from Xiamen to Shanghai, the world famous metropolis city in east coast of China, can be realized within half and day.
