The long expecting Xian Chengdu High Speed Railway has been taken into operation officially on December 06, 2017. And now, the whole journey duration from Xian to Chengdu and vice versa has been cut down to only about 3-4.5 hours, which has sharply shortened from the time of 12 to 17 hours for normal trains between Chengdu and Xian.
The Xian Chengdu High Speed Railway is measured about 643 kilometers totally, and the design running speed of the bullet train is around 350 kilometers per hour. The whole way starts from Xian North Railway Station, via Hanzhong(汉中), Guangyuan(广元), Jiange, Qingchuan, Jiangyou (江油), Mianyang(绵阳), and Deyang (德阳), finally to Chengdu East Railway Station. Xian North Railway Station
Address: Lijiajie Village, Weiyang District, Xian (西安市未央区李家街村 西安北站); about 20km to the downtown, 15km to Ancient City Wall and 50km to Terracotta Warriors.
Transportation: Xian North Railway Station is Xian’s main railway station operating high speed trains. Taking a subway is the best way to travel between Xian North Railway Station and the down town area. Metro line 2 is able to take you from the railway station to Ancient City Wall, Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter in the downtown area. Guangyuan is the birthplace of the Wu Zetian (武则天) who was the female emperor of Tang Dynasty (618-907) as well as the only legitimate female emperor in ancient China.. In this city, the most well-known tourist spot is the Jianmen Pass (剑门关), which is famous for its dangerous landform and a natural defense for Sichuan in ancient China. Guangyuan Railway Station
Address: Zetian Road, Lizhou District, Guangyuancity (四川省广元市利州区则天路 广元站); about 1km to Huangze Temple, about 10km to the downtown, about 60km to Jianmen Pass and about 65km to Cuiyun Corridor.
Transportation: Guangyuan Railway Station is quite close to the city center and you can take a public bus from the railway station to your hotel in downtown easily. There are also available public buses to Huangze Temple. If you want to travel to Jianmen Pass, you are suggested to take a high speed train to Jianmenguan Railway Station.
Jianmenguan Railway Station
Address: Zhanqian Road, Xiasi Community, Xiasi Town, Jiange County, Guangyuan City (四川省广元市剑阁县下寺镇下寺社区站前路); about 13km to Jianmen Pass.
Transportation: It takes about 25 minutes to get to Jianmen Pass from Jianmenguan Railway Station by driving. There are also available shuttle buses running from Jianmenguan Railway Station to Jianmen Pass.

Guangyuan Railway Station
Guanghan City is prefecture-level city in Deyang. Sanxingdui Site Museum is a real highlight in Guanghan. Address: Huochezhan Road, Guanghan City (火车站路，广汉市); about 8km to Sanxingdui Museum
Transportation: There is public buses running from Guanghan Railway Station to Sanxingdui Museum, but it needs some walks and takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes totally. If you transfer by driving, you can get there within 15 minutes usually.

Address: Qingyijiang Rd, Chenghua District, Eastern Chengdu (成都市成华区青衣江路 - 成都东站); about 9km to downtown Chengdu, 18km to Giant Panda Base.
Transportation: Chengdu East Railway Station is the main high speed railway station well equipped with subway system. You can take metro Line 2 to the downtown area (Tianfu Square and Chunxi Road) directly. With one transfer, you can reach Giant Panda Base and Kuanzhai Alleys conveniently.

On Xian Chengdu high speed trains, there are three types of seats: the "Business Class Seats" like the first class seat in an aircraft and the most comfortable and expensive, with the price of 789RMB per person, the "First Class Seats" of the middle class of 421RMB per person and the "Second Class Seats" of the most economical class of 263RMB per person.

To book a Xian Chengdu high speed train ticket, you could choose to book it at the official website: China Railway Customer Service Center or with a travel agency, also you could directly tell China Discovery to book the tickets for you. Besides, you could go to the Railway Station or Designated Ticket Offices to do that.
To collect your high speed train ticket, you could go to the railway station nearby, however, the Self-service Ticketing Machines are not serving foreign people. Besides, you can tell China Discovery to help you to do the collection, which only needs your passport information.
